hi everyone. i have an old topper model 48 i acquired from my brother. it was our grandfathers on my dads side. it is not in great shape. he carved a big ol CH in one side of the stock. and the stock is cracked near the mounting bolt. so i was thinking of taking the firing pin out cleaning it up and then putting it on the wall. i'd really love to use it once. but the shape it's in, and givin the the power of modern ammo, i don't think i should. i love the look of the single shot guns. i'd like to save up and get a new one. i will take care of mine and not carve my initials in it. i promise. i looked online and they are not pricey. so sometime in the future i'll get one.
cheers.
H&R topper noob.
